Hiking in the Cajas National Park
At 9 am we'll pick you up from your hotel in Cuenca and travel by minibus to the town of Sayausí, the gateway to the Cajas National Park.
Upon arrival, we'll get off the minibus and set off on a hiking route through the park, which is home to the Llaviucu Valley, one of the most beautiful natural areas around Cuenca. We'll walk along a millenary Inca trail as we learn about the glacial origins of this area.
During the route, we'll pass by stunning spots of the national park such as the Llaviucu lagoon, an abandoned German brewery and the meadows where wild horses and alpacas graze.
After a morning enjoying the natural landscapes of Ecuador, you'll return to your hotel at 2 pm.
