Cozumel Walking Tour
Cozumel Walking Tour
We'll meet at the Cozumel Military Air Base at the specified time. Accompanied by an expert guide in this Mexican city's history, we'll visit the most iconic places in Cozumel, Mexico's third biggest island.
Cozumel is famous for its impressive diving spots. We won't be immersing ourselves in the Caribbean sea, but we will be admiring the places that have influenced the population's development. We'll begin at the Plaza de las Dos Culturas and the Monumento al Mestizaje, located in the place where the Spanish first arrived on the island.
Throughout the tour, the guide will be telling us all about the city's history and details about indigenous culture on the Yucatán peninsula. Get hooked on its traditions by delving into the history of tequila and learning about its significance for the island. We'll also get the chance to try this most traditional and typical of drinks.
After this stop, we'll discover the Malecón de Cozumel pier with its various sculptures and views. One of the best-known sculptures is the Monumento de Buzo that represents the impressive underwater life at the depths of the island.
The next stop will be the Plaza Central to see the City Hall and the Cozumel Clocktower. We'll finish off the tour with an authentic Mexican lunch in the La Choza restaurant.
