We loved it! Wendy and Vanessa were knowledgeable and fun guides during the experience. We were offered a chocolate martini to begin, then learned the history and process of growing and harvesting cacao beans. We then grinded some roasted beans and made our own chocolate. At the end, we tasted 2 different wines with 10 types of chocolate to experience how the flavors changed with each other. And a lovely view of the ocean from an air conditioned room. We would definitely recommend it!

In this chocolate workshop in Cozumel, we'll learn about the origin, uses and properties of one of the most popular products in the indigenous Mexican community. You'll taste different types of cacao and enjoy red wine pairings!

Cozumel Chocolate Workshop

At your selected time, we'll meet at the established point on the Carretera Costera Sur. From there, we'll walk to a terrace in Cozumel with amazing ocean views, where we'll participate in an exciting chocolate workshop.

During the activity, we'll learn about the origins of this popular product and discover the ancient techniques used by the Mayas and Aztecs to make bars of cacao.

As a part of the workshop, you'll even be able to make your own chocolate bar using traditional methods. Later, we'll have a tasting of several types of cacao paired with red wine, an intense mix of flavors that is sure to make your taste buds dance!

We'll also discover the use of cacao outside of confectionery by tasting a delicious chocolate martini - the perfect finishing touch.

After two hours of being delighted by the different flavors of cacao, the workshop will conclude.
