Visit to a Maya Community
Visit to a Maya Community
Having picked you up at your hotel in Cancun at the scheduled time, we'll begin this immersive experience where we'll spend a night full of ancient Maya rituals and a magical atmosphere.
By the bus, we'll head to a Maya community where we'll learn about their lifestyle and ancestral traditions. Members of the community will welcome us and show us their village, where they continue to live in the style of their ancestors.
Visitors will learn first-hand how this community lives far from the urban center by participating in a handmade tortilla workshop. Afterward, we'll attend a fire ceremony and participate in one of the Maya rituals of worship to Mother Earth, the temazcal. With this purifying volcanic stone steam bath, we'll cleanse and renew our body and spirit.
Next, we'll enjoy a refreshing swim in an authentic cenote. Did you know that the ancient Mayas considered their sacred places?
And as a finishing touch to this fantastic night, we'll enjoy a traditional Maya dinner accompanied by hibiscus water.
Lastly, we'll return by bus to Cancun and drop you off at your hotel around 10.15 pm.
