La Oliva, Betancuria and Corralejo Dunes Day Trip

Between 9 and 9:30 am, we'll pick you up at your hotel in the north of Fuerteventura determined to explore some of the most beautiful corners of the island. Let's go!

First, we'll head by minibus to the dunes of Corralejo, a captivating place protected as a natural park. We'll enjoy the desert beauty of Fuerteventura's coastline and make a 20-minute stop to take some photos.

Then, we'll cross Puerto del Rosario and other small coastal towns to reach the Sotavento Beach, one of the most famous of the island. Located on the peninsula of Jandía, this beach stands out for the curious lagoons that form on its golden sandy shore. You'll fall in love!

After 45 minutes, we'll return to the minibus and head to Pájara. We'll visit this picturesque village and also Ajuy, famous for its black sand beach and the caves that served as a refuge for pirates. In Ajuy you'll have an hour and a half of free time for lunch.

After refueling, we'll cross Betancuria Rural Park, the oldest part of Fuerteventura. Did you know that the capital of the island used to be located here? We'll admire the ravine of Las Peñitas from a viewpoint and, with a little luck, we'll even see hawks, eagles and vultures. In Betancuria, we'll leave you 30 to 40 minutes of free time.

The last stop of the day will be at the Los Reyes Mahos viewpoint, where we'll see two bronze statues representing the ancient kings. Here you'll be able to admire the majestic landscapes of the west coast of the island.

We'll also talk about the many mysteries of the sacred mountain of Tindaya and through the municipality of La Oliva, marveling at its landscapes dotted with windmills.

We'll finish the excursion by dropping you off at your hotel at around 5:30 pm.
