Kayak Tour to Lobos Island
Kayak Tour to Lobos Island
We'll meet at Waikiki Beach in Corralejo at 10 am for a kayak tour to Lobos Island. Did you know that its name, "Wolves Island" in Spanish, comes from the fact that it was once inhabited by sea wolves, or monk seals?
First of all, we'll give you some instructions on how to handle the kayaks before we start paddling for our hour-long trip on the Bocaina Strait, which separates Fuerteventura from the Isla de Lobos.
Upon arrival, we'll put on our snorkelling equipment and discover the incredible marine diversity of this part of the Canary Islands. Keeps your eyes peeled for shoals of bream, mussels and crabs! Then, at around 12:30 pm, we'll have a delicious picnic to renew our energy.
We'll also take you to visit El Puertito, a natural beach inhabited by a multitude of fish and home to a number of charming fishermen's houses. You'll also get to spot seagulls, bustards and shearwaters in this area.
We'll then get back into the kayaks to paddle towards Corralejo, where we'll arrive back at Waikiki Beach at 3 pm.
