Villa Carlos Paz Trip
We will pick you up from your hotel in Cordoba at the scheduled time before heading west to Villa Carlos Paz. Along the way, we will pass the barracks of the Argentine Army until reaching the pretty town of La Calera. Here, you will hear the fascinating story about how the town earned its name.
Or trip then continues, crossing the Suquía River Gorge, which runs into Sierras Chicas mountains. There, we will follow the Camino de las Usinas track, which takes its name from the hydroelectric plants that proliferated in these areas during the 19th century. All of them are located at the San Roque reservoir, which became the largest dam in the world!
Then we drive along the so-called 100-Curve Road, which takes us to Villa Carlos Paz. Once we arrive at the beautiful town on the shores of Lake San Roque we will explore it on foot to get to know it. The highlight landmark here is the Cuckoo clock, built in 1958, where you will hear all about its fascinating history.
After this, you can then choose if you want to ascend the famous Villa Carlos Paz chairlift (not included). This exciting journey will reward you with spectacular views. Finally, we return to your hotel in Córdoba around four hours after pick up.
