The stopover tour in Córdoba is private and includes transport and an English-speaking driver from the airport to the return transfer. We'll be waiting for you, holding a sign with your name on it at the arrivals terminal and drive to the old town of Córdoba. Welcome to one of the most historic cities in Argentina!
Our first visit will be the area of the Plaza San Martín, where we'll see the façade of the Cabildo and the beautiful Cathedral of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción. Then, we'll go to the Manzana Jesuítica de Córdoba, a place that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to its great concentration of historical monuments.
As we pass through the block, we'll notice all the exterior details of the church of the Company of Jesus. Right next to the church is the historic building of the UNC, the oldest university in Argentina. We'll tell you the history of this prestigious teaching institution, founded by the Society of Jesus at the beginning of the 17th century.
From the National University of Córdoba, we'll go to the most modern area of the city, to see avant-garde buildings such as the Paseo del Buen Pastor cultural centre. In front of this building, we'll see the church of the Sagrado Corazón, also known as the Capuchins: one of the most beautiful neo-Gothic temples in the province of Córdoba.
We'll continue the tour of the most contemporary Córdoba, passing in front of the Ferreyra Palace (the home of the "Evita" Fine Arts Museum) and the modern University City. The route will continue in the Sarmiento Park, well known for a famous waterwheel called the Eiffel wheel. If you take the tour on the weekend, we'll also go to the artisan fair in Güemes.
Finally, after a two-hour tour, we'll take you back to the Córdoba airport well in advance.
Important: Layover Times
The return journey between Córdoba airport and the city centre takes approximately 90 minutes. In addition, you must be at the terminal at least 2 hours before the departure of your flight. This means that your stopover must last at least 5 to 8 hours. Please take all these times into account when making your reservation.
