Tour Details
At the indicated time, we'll start this free tour of Copenhagen at the City Hall Square, where we'll observe the beautiful decoration of the city hall, where the golden sculpture of the founding bishop of the city, Absalom, stands out.
From here, we'll continue our tour of the Danish capital at the intersection of Nytorv and Gammeltorv roads. Next, we'll go to Magstræde, one of the most picturesque streets in Copenhagen, and it won't take you long to discover why!
The next stop will be the Gammel Strand promenade, located on the banks of one of Copenhagen's canals. After learning about its history, we'll admire the Christiansborg Palace exterior. This is the current parliamentary seat of Denmark, which also houses the tallest tower in Copenhagen.
Our walk will then continue along the Højbro Plads square towards the church of St. Nicholas, one of the most beautiful in the old part of the city. After contemplating its facade, we'll go to Kongens Nytorv square to see the Royal Danish Theater. The route will then continue along the Nyhavn canal, where we'll see its traditional colorful houses.
Finally, we'll pass through the great boulevard of Sankt Annæ Plads and, after about 3 hours of walking, we'll conclude the tour at Amalienborg Square, the Royal Palace of Copenhagen. Here we'll learn new stories about Danish monarchs of the past.
