Copenhagen Free Walking Tour
Our Copenhagen free walking tour begins in the Town Hall Square. We'll admire the beautiful decoration of the municipal headquarters, including the golden sculpture of the bishop-founder of the city, Absalon.
The tour will continue along the Nyhavn as we learn about the Danish capital's history. This famous walkway along the banks of the canal is famous for its waterfront buildings which add a splash of colour to the district. This harbour area is so clean the water is home to many species of fish, birds and sea vegetation!
Next up on our free walking tour of Copenhagen is Christiansborg Palace, the current headquarters of the Danish Parliament, and home to the tallest tower in Copenhagen. Did you know that it's built on the site of an 1167 castle which has seen many architectural changes over the centuries?
Finally, we'll reach Amalienborg Square by the Danish Royal Palace. Here we'll learn intriguing details concerning the Danish monarchs. We'll end this free walking tour of Copenhagen here after 3 hours. See you again soon!
Important
It isn't possible to do the free tour if you're a group of more than 6 people. If this is the case, check out our Private Walking Tour of Copenhagen.
