Pedal around the historic centre of the Danish capital on this bike tour of Copenhagen, one of the world's most bike-friendly cities! You'll be like a local for a day!
Description
Having met up at the scheduled time at Rosenborggade 3, right in the heart of the Danish capital, we'll be given our helmets so we can hop onto our bikes and begin our tour of Copenhagen.
You'll spend 3 hours cycling around the city's most emblematic monuments. Firstly, you'll cycle to the elegant Rosenborg Castle, the perfect example of Dutch Renaissance architecture, before pedalling onwards to visit a sculpture that's become the symbol of Copenhagen. Do you know what it could be? The Little Mermaid! This bronze statue, created in homage to the famous character created by Danish author Hans Christian Anderson, is located at the city's port.
The next stop on your bike tour will be Amalienborg, a palace that's the official residence of the Danish royal family. We'll then pedal to the Copenhagen Opera House and Nyhavn, the city's most famous canal. Having admired views of the charming, colourful houses, we'll head over to the fascinating area of Freetown Christiania.
Afterwards, you'll make a stop in front of Christiansborg Castle, the current seat of Parliament, and the Tivoli Gardens, one of Copenhagen's most beautiful spots. Did you know that this is one of the oldest theme parks in the world? Your bike tour will also take you to see the City Hall and Nytorv, the new market.
Finally, our bike tour will come to an end back at the starting point as we say our goodbyes.
