From the ancient temples and historic cities of Sri Lanka to the paradisiacal beaches of the Maldives, this 11-day route offers you a complete experience of these two countries.

In Sri Lanka, we'll visit iconic sites such as the Dambulla Cave Temple, the Lion Rock in Sigiriya and the Temple of the Tooth in Kandy, as well as safaris and tea plantations. Our itinerary will allow us to make the most of each destination!

Meanwhile, in the Maldives, the luxury and tranquillity of the all-inclusive resort will provide the perfect ending to this unforgettable trip.

Tour Description

Day 1: Colombo - Dambulla - Habarana

Upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo, we'll be waiting to bring you to Habarana. Please note that your flight should arrive before 12 noon.

On the way to your accommodation, you'll visit the famous Dambulla Cave Temple, an impressive rock-hewn complex. This sacred site houses an extraordinary collection of images, statues and paintings, including the 14-metre (45.9-foot) reclining Buddha statue carved into the rock.

After the visit, we'll continue to the hotel in Habarana for check-in and free time until dinner. After dinner, you can rest until the next day.

Day 2: Habarana - Polonnaruwa - Minneriya National Park - Habarana

After breakfast at the hotel, we'll depart for Polonnaruwa, a medieval gem and one of the ancient capitals of Sri Lanka. Once there, we'll visit its impressive ruins, including the four giant statues of Gal Vihara carved in rock—did you know that he was one of the most important kings of ancient Ceylon?

You'll have time to get yourself some lunch in Polonnaruwa, after which we'll meet for a 2.5 to 3-hour safari in Minneriya National Park. Ready to see Asian elephants?

We'll end the day by returning to the hotel in Habarana, where we'll have dinner and you can rest.

Day 3: Habarana - Sigiriya - Habarana

We'll start the 3rd day with breakfast at the hotel. We'll then leave Habarana behind and head to Sigiriya, a palace complex built in the 5th century A.D. Did you know that it has been on the World Heritage List since 1982? There, we'll climb the iconic Lion Rock and explore the frescoes of the Golden Maidens, the Royal Gardens and the Mirror Wall.

Next, we'll have lunch at a local restaurant in Sigiriya and, before heading for a rest, we'll visit Polonnaruwa again to finish exploring its stupas and Buddha statues. The day will end with a return to the hotel in Habarana and dinner. See you tomorrow!

Day 4: Habarana - Matale - Kandy

Ready for day 4? After breakfast at the hotel, we'll depart for Kandy. On the way, we'll stop in Matale to visit the famous spice plantations of the area.

We'll continue on to Kandy, Sri Lanka's holiest city, where the Buddha's Tooth, one of the most precious relics in Buddhism, is kept! We'll visit the interior of the Temple of the Tooth, a complex of beautiful buildings surrounded by a wall. Of course, you'll have free time for lunch, and we'll also go to the city market to immerse ourselves in the local atmosphere.

We'll conclude the day with dinner at the hotel in Kandy, before giving you time to rest up until the next day.

Day 5: Kandy - Nuwara Eliya

After eating breakfast at the hotel, we'll head to Nuwara Eliya, a world-renowned destination for its tea plantations and beautiful mountain scenery. You'll fall in love with this stunning postcard setting!

Upon arrival, we'll enter a tea factory to discover all the details of this plant and infusion. Did you know that one of the best teas in the world is grown here? We'll tell you all the details during the 40-50 minutes visit. 

The day will end at the accommodation in Nuwara Eliya so you can have dinner and sleep until the next day.

Day 6: Nuwara Eliya - Negombo

On the 6th day, after breakfast at the hotel, we'll travel to Negombo, where we'll take a comprehensive tour of this coastal town. We'll see the exteriors of places such as the Angurukaramulla Temple and St. Mary's Church. We'll also tell you about the Dutch colonial legacy by admiring the Negombo Fort, which dates back to 1672. Of course, we can't miss the famous fish market!

The day will end with dinner at the hotel in Negombo.

Day 7: Negombo - Colombo Airport - Malé

We'll end our tour of Sri Lanka with a hearty breakfast at the hotel. Afterwards, you'll be driven to Colombo airport, where you'll board your flight to Malé between 7:20 am and 3 pm. Upon landing, you'll be met at the airport of the Maldivian capital and you'll hop on a speedboat to reach the resort. Are you ready to discover a paradise in the middle of the Indian Ocean?

After pickup, you'll travel by speedboat to the island of Ailafushi, located just 15 minutes from Malé. Upon arrival at the hotel, you'll be greeted by the staff with water and refreshing towels. Once you have checked in, you'll have these 3 days free to enjoy the food and activities offered by the accommodation—the best part is that it's all included!

Days 8, 9 & 10: The Maldives

During these days, you'll enjoy the facilities of a 4-star resort located in the heart of the Maldives—pure relaxation!

Among the restaurants, you'll have a buffet lounge open from 7 am to 10 am, from 12 pm to 3 pm and from 7 pm to 8 pm. You'll also have the drinks bar at the swimming pool at your disposal.

As for leisure, you can enjoy the swimming pool, daily musical performances, live DJs, a gym, organised group activities and water sports such as kayaking or paddle surfing. What more could you ask for?

Day 11: Malé

On the last day, after breakfast at your accommodation, we'll transfer you by speedboat to Velana International Airport​ in Malé in time for your return flight. See you next time!
