Boat Trip in Cologne
Tour Options
Upon booking, you can choose between a boat trip during the day or at sunset.
Daytime Boat Trip
After arriving at the dock, just five minutes from the famous Cologne Cathedral, we'll sail off on our boat trip along the River Rhine at your chosen time. The cruise will include an audioguide in English, available through a QR code which you can download to your phone on the boat.
Cologne is one of the oldest cities in Germany and dates back to the establishment of a Roman colony in the 1st century AD. During this magical boat trip along the Rhine, you'll be able to listen to an audio guide in English and seven other languages on the history of Cologne and interesting facts about the city's main monuments.
This cruise will allow you to enjoy panoramic views of Germany's fourth most populated city. We'll stroll along the wooden Frankenwerft promenade and admire the traditional coloured houses that stand tall in the Fischmarkt square. We'll visit the Hohenzollern Bridge, which is crossed by over 1,200 trains every day, the Cologne Cathedral and Twelve Romanesque churches of Cologne in the Old Quarter.
After an hour's boat trip around Cologne, we'll head back to our starting point.
Sunset Boat Trip
Departing at the indicated time from the Trankgassenwerft pier, we'll take a boat trip on the Rhine as the sunset light colours the buildings and bridges of Cologne. Please note that this tour does not include an audioguide.
For 2 hours, we'll cruise along the banks of the Rhine admiring the old town's medieval buildings and the silhouette of the Hohenzollern Bridge overlooking the city. As dusk falls over Cologne, we'll see the cathedral and the bell towers of the Romanesque basilicas rising above the rooftops. We'll pass the colourful houses on the Fischmarkt square and enjoy the view of the tree-lined promenade along the riverbank.
The sunset cruise will give you a different view of Cologne. If you wish, you can have a drink or a snack at the bar on board while you admire the cityscape.
At the end of the boat trip, we'll return to the starting point.
