Our guide was very pleasant and provided lots of info. The two tastings if cheese and sweets wre great intro to local cuisine. Thank you for making our visit to beautiful Colmar memorable.

Colmar Free Tour

At the time indicated, we'll start the Colmar free tour from the door of the St Martin Church, in the city centre. During the two-hour tour, we'll discover one of the legendary locations in the Alsace, full of walls and houses full of flowers overlooking the canals.

We'll walk through the traditional streets of Colmar while being enamoured by the stories and legends that surround the city. Is Colmar the town that inspired Disney's 'Beauty and the Beast'? Did you know that the sculptor of the Statue of Liberty was born here?

The architecture of Colmar will dazzle us at every step we take, for example, its mansions belonging to the city's bourgeoisie craftsmen and merchants. Clear examples of these are the Pfister House and the House of Heads.

Following, on we'll be lead through Little Venice, one of the most beautiful and well-known neighbourhoods. Here, we'll discover the wooden frameworks that decorate its houses and the relaxing canals that form the Lauch River - a fairytale city!

The tour will end by finding out about the history of Colmar's Christmas market, one of the most famous in the world.
