Freycinet Peninsula & Wineglass Bay Boat Trip
Freycinet Peninsula & Wineglass Bay Boat Trip
At the scheduled time, we'll meet on Jetty Road and board a boat that'll take us on a cruise through the Freycinet National Park. Let's explore Wineglass Bay!
We'll leave the town of Coles Bay behind and start exploring Tasmania's east coast. During the first stretch of our route, we'll see sea caves, granite cliffs, waterfalls and Cooks and Bryan Beaches. As we travel through the ocean, we'll discuss the flora and fauna found within the Freycinet National Park, which is home to 49 endemic species.
Before reaching Wineglass Bay, we'll admire the north coast of Schouten Island. Keep your eyes peeled for the little penguins and shearwaters that inhabit this island!
Next, we'll head out into the Tasman Sea as we gradually approach Wineglass Bay. From the moment we arrive, we'll be able to spot the pink peaks of The Hazards mountain range. We'll explain the reason behind this unique hue as you take lots of photos.
You'll learn all about the early explorers of Wineglass Bay and, if we're lucky, we'll spot some of the dolphins swimming in the sea here. If you're joining us between September and December or May and July, you might even see some whales.
After 4 hours 30 minutes at sea, we'll finish our boat trip back at the starting point.
