Toro Toro, Itas and Valle Alto 3-Day Private Tour

Day 1: Cochabamba - Toro Toro - Umajalanta

We'll meet at 8 am at Calle Baptista and board the bus that will take us to the Toro Toro National Park on a five-hour trip from Cochabamba. On the way, we'll pass through colonial villages such as Tarata and Anzaldo.
Once we reach our destination, we'll settle into our hotel and head to the Toro Toro valley canyon, one of the main attractions of the area. Here we'll see the footprints of dinosaurs that walked the continent millions of years ago, as well as geological strata from the prehistoric Cretaceous Sea.

We'll conclude the first day by returning to the hotel in Toro Toro for dinner and rest.

Day 2: Itas - Cochabamba

We'll have breakfast at the hotel and head to Itas, at 700 meters altitude. Here we'll see sandstone labyrinths and rock formations that look like towers - it'll be like walking through a stone city! But the highlight of this visit will be what we'll find in the tunnels: enigmatic cave paintings.

After this excursion, we'll return to Toro Toro to pick up our luggage and return to Cochabamba.

Day 3: High Valley - Cochabamba

After breakfast, we'll leave for the High Valley, where we'll visit its main attractions. We'll start with the town of Arani, famous for recipes such as mama qonqachis, a type of giant cheese bread. We'll visit the church of San Bartolomé, in Renaissance style, known as La Bella.

In the next part of the day, we'll visit Punata, the pearl of the Valle Alto, which was an important place during the Bolivian War of Independence. Here we'll visit a workshop making rosquetes, typical sweets made with flour, eggs, butter, and sugar.

We'll then go to Huayculi, known as the capital of pottery. In this picturesque village, we'll learn about the pottery tradition, which is passed down from generation to generation, and we'll make a stop in the village of Tarata, where we'll walk through its charming colonial streets

Finally, we'll return to Cochabamba. The tour will end at Calle Baptista at around 5 pm.
