Pilcomayo River Rowing Tour
Pilcomayo River Rowing Tour
We'll start the excursion on Avenida Roque Saenz Peña in Clorinda, where we'll pick you up between 7:30 and 8:30 am.
After a short drive through the province of Formosa, we'll reach the border area between Argentina and Paraguay and stop at the La Molina campsite, located on the Argentinean side of the Pilcomayo River. There we'll start a rowing tour on a kayak, a canoe, or a rabaska canoe, depending on your preference.
As we paddle along the Pilcomayo River through its winding meanders, we'll observe its banks lined with the traditional houses of the area's fishermen. Along the way, an ornithologist guide will also tell us all about the many different species of birds native to this area of South America.
The wetlands of Río Pilcomayo National Park are perfect for creating safe habitats and ecosystems for animals. As we'll see, these areas are also characterized by lush jungle vegetation that fills the landscape with splashes of green.
We'll conclude the route by returning to the La Molina campsite, where we'll have a light snack that will include various local specialties. Finally, we'll return by road to Clorinda, where we'll arrive at 10:30 am.
