Xilitla Trip
Besides discovering the beautiful town of Xilitla and its Surrealist Garden, you will have the opportunity to choose which natural abyss you want to visit. We propose two options for you to enjoy the experience as you wish.
Xilitla and Sótano de las Golondrinas Trip
We'll pick you up at the hotel in Ciudad Valles at 9 am and after an enjoyable 50-minute journey through the landscapes of San Luis Potosi we'll arrive at our destination: Xilitla. You'll learn why they call it "the magic town".
Next, we'll visit the wonderful Edward James Surrealist Garden, where among the exotic vegetation we'll find buildings surrounded by trees, waterfalls, and even natural pools! Through doors that lead to nothing and stairs that lead to the sky, we'll discover the history of the British artist from whom this place takes its name.
Then, we'll enjoy an appetizer of an energy bar and iced tea and go to the center of Xilitla. We'll stroll among its colorful streets to explore elegant mansions and enter a local restaurant to enjoy a traditional lunch and a drink.
We hit the road again and head to the village of Aquismón, where we'll discover the Sótano de las Golondrinas: the sixth deepest natural abyss in the world at 512 metres (1679 feet)!
Finally, we return to Ciudad Valles at 8:30 pm where we accompany you back to your accommodation.
