Waterfall Jump in the Micos River
Waterfall Jump in the Micos River
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Ciudad Valles at 10 am and leave the town in the direction of the Micos River, 40 minutes away. Our destination is a stunning location on the edge of a canyon.
Once we arrive, we'll go to the shore to put on our helmet and vest. Dressed with the equipment, we'll receive a brief explanation from the monitor. Afterward, we'll walk along the riverbed until we reach the Cascada del Toro (Bull's Waterfall), which is 20 metres (65 feet high). For about 20 minutes we'll swim in its pools of crystal waters.
We'll continue to the waterfall known as "the test". We'll reach the edge and, at 5 metres (16 feet) high up, make the first daring jump! For a few seconds, we'll fall through the open air before landing in the natural pools.
For an hour and a half, we'll repeat the experience six more times. We'll travel over half a mile of the Micos River to experience emotions at different heights: from waterfalls of just 1 foot to one reaching up to 8 metres (26 feet) high up. Also, in this highest cascade, we'll explore the mysterious cave hidden behind the curtain of water curtain.
We'll regain our strength back with a tasty snack consisting of an energy bar and an iced tea. Afterward, we'll make our way back to Ciudad Valles where the activity ends at 2:30 pm back at your accommodation.
