El Salto + El Meco Waterfalls Excursion
Description
We'll collect you from your accommodation in Ciudad Valle and make our way towards San Luis Potosí, in the middle of the Huasteca Region, where we'll see the amazing El Salto Waterfall.
Check out the view! At 70 metres (229 ft.), this waterfall is hidden behind dense vegetation and rocks. The current of the Salto River flows into turquoise-coloured pools where you'll be able to take a refreshing dip.
Next, we'll make our way towards the Meco Waterfall viewpoint. Look at the impressive views! Afterwards, we'll hop on a canoe to paddle towards the next waterfall, which reaches a height of 30 metres (98 ft.). The more adventurous members of the tour group can jump from the top of the waterfall, but you'll also be able to chill out and go for a swim while enjoying the surrounding scenery.
To refuel ourselves, we'll enjoy a traditional dish, local to the area, at around 4 pm at a nearby restaurant. Bon appétit! Finally, we'll make our way to Ciudad Valles. We're expected to arrive back at the starting point at around 10.5 hours later.
