Culture + Shopping Tour Ciudad del Este
Description
At the scheduled time, we'll begin this cultural tour around Ciudad del Este, from the Centro Comercial Shopping del Este.
The first stop will take place in outside the Alkhaulafa Al-Rashdeen Mosque, where we'll learn about the legacy of the Muslim community in Ciudad del Este. Afterwards, we'll make our way to the San Blas Cathedral, whose design mimics that of a boat. You'll be amazed!
We'll continue discovering the contrasting cultures in Ciudad del Este at the Chiang Kai-Shek Park, which was created by the Paraguayan Chinese community. Close to this iconic site is the El Mensú History Museum. Here, we'll see historical objects from the Chaco War, craftworks made by the indigenous Guaraní people and other pieces such as tools and machinery items.
Next, we'll head to the Feria de Hortigranjeros de Ciudad del Este (Ciudad del Este's Farmer's Market). At this market, which is set up from Wednesday to Friday, we'll discover a wide range of Paraguayan products like fruits, vegetables and meat.
After visiting the market, we'll go to a restaurant in the area so that you can grab something small to eat. Once we've eaten, we'll make our way back to the Centro Comercial Shopping Cellshop, where you'll have the chance to buy even more local products.
Finally, we'll return to the starting point, where the tour will come to an end after 4 hours.
