El Nicho Waterfalls Excursion
Tour Details
We'll pick you up at your accommodation at the indicated time to take you to the area of Escambray, a mountain range located between the provinces of Sancti Spíritus, Villa Clara, and Cienfuegos, in inland Cuba.
Our first stop is the waterfalls of El Nicho, which form a set of pools of turquoise waters that you'll fall in love with from the moment we arrive. We'll see the peaceful waterfall of La Cristal, the numerous cascades of the waterfall of Los Tres Deseos, and visit Poceta de los Enamorados, a magical oasis. You can even do a zip line circuit in this spectacular setting!
This wooded area hides a natural jewel that we'll discover on this excursion: the natural park of El Nicho. As soon as we arrive, we'll dive right in, experiencing the contrast between the heat of the city and the refreshing atmosphere of the jungle. Did you know that it's the coldest microclimate in the country?
We'll continue our route to the El Nicho cave, where we'll enjoy stunning views, admire the source of the river, and maybe spot some of the many bats!
Before returning, we'll leave you some free time to have a typical regional lunch at El Escambray to recharge your batteries. After 6 hours of enjoying this natural paradise in the heart of Cuba, we'll return to your accommodation in Cienfuegos.

When booking, you can choose to end the tour in Trinidad if you’re continuing your trip there. In this case, after exploring El Escambray, we’ll take you directly to your accommodation in Trinidad.
