Lake Suesca Horse Riding Tour

At 9 am, we'll meet at the Sisga dam, located in the municipality of Chocontá. From there, we'll start a horseback ride to Lake Suesca. Are you ready to ride through the most beautiful landscapes of central Colombia? We'll go to the place where the saddled horses will be waiting for us.

Before we start, we'll explain to you how the activity what we'll do during the activity, as well as basic safety rules. When we're ready, we'll get on the horses to start a 35-kilometre (21 miles) ride through the Sisga River valley. We'll head towards Lake Suesca, crossing the potato fields that surround the area.

We'll arrive at a quiet spot on the shores of the lake to stop for a delicious picnic lunch. With our batteries recharged and after a short rest, we'll start a different route back. We'll skirt the lake of Suesca until we reach the old northern railway station, active until the middle of the last century. Did you know that it reaches an altitude of over 3100 metres (10,170 feet)?

We'll start a descent through the Lechuza Canyon, very close to Suesca. We'll stop at a cozy hostel to enjoy a coffee or a snack before finishing the activity.

We'll finish the excursion arriving at the meeting point at 5 pm.
