On this day trip to Gaguzia and the Mansion of Manuc Bey, we'll get a taste of Moldova's opulence as well as its deep-rooted traditions.
Description
At 9 am, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Chisinau, from where we'll head to the town of Hânceşti, located in the central western part of Moldova.
After travelling for 1 hour and 15 minutes, we'll arrive at the majestic Mansion of Manuc Bey - an elegant complex in Hânceşti, encompassing the buildings of Manucs Palace, the Steward's House, the hunting lodge of Countess Çadır, and a watch tower among others!
We'll stroll through this 19th-century palace, with architecture inspired by French classicism, enjoying its elegant galleries and the air of luxury within.
After our visit, we'll travel to Gagauzia, a remarkable agricultural village with ancient customs and a rich history, home to the Gagauz people. We'll learn about the Gagauz before making our way to the neighbouring village of Congaz.
In Congaz, you'll have some free time to taste traditional local food. We highly recommend visiting Gagauz Sofrasi, a venue serving traditional dishes with modern Gagauz decor.
After lunch, we'll return to Chisinau and drop you off at your hotel at 6 pm.
