When we get to Paquimé, we'll take a guided tour of the Museum of Northern Cultures. Its collection, which houses numerous pre-Hispanic artefacts found in northern Mexico, will give us an insight into the society and culture of this period.
Next, we'll visit the archaeological remains of the Paquimé culture. This spot has been declared a World Heritage Site, and during our visit, we'll discover the main customs and traditions of this thousand-year-old culture. By observing the remains of their ancient constructions, we'll be able to learn more about their way of life.
After visiting this spot, we'll head to Mata Ortiz. This town, also in the state of Chihuahua, has become famous for its handmade pottery. The pottery here is part of an effort to reproduce the artistic objects found at the Paquimé Archaeological Site.
