Chepe Express 5 Day Tour: Chihuahua & El Fuerte

Day 1: Chihuahua - Creel

At the designated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Chihuahua and take you to the train station. We'll hop aboard the Regional Chepe Express to travel to Creel. When we get there, we'll head to the hotel so you can drop off your luggage.

In the afternoon, we'll take a guided tour of Creel to see Lake Arareco, Los Hongos and Ranas Valley and the Jesuit mission of San Ignacio. The latter is a religious building that was constructed in the 18th century in a typical Tarahumara village. 

Day 2: Creel - Divisadero

At 10 am, we'll go to Creel station to take the Chepe Express to Divisadero. Upon our arrival, we'll make our way to the hotel to eat a delicious traditional meal.

You'll have the afternoon free to explore the area and admire the rugged beauty of the Copper Canyon at your leisure. Did you know that this gorge is much bigger than the Grand Canyon? 

At around 7 pm, we'll have a tasty traditional dinner.

Day 3: Divisadero

Rise and shine! We'll wake up with breakfast at the hotel then we'll take a guided walk through the surroundings.

You'll have the rest of the day free to enjoy Divisadero at your leisure.

Day 4: Divisadero - El Fuerte

In the morning, we'll have breakfast and then go to the train station to board the Chepe Express bound for El Fuerte.

You'll take a guided tour of this Pueblo Mágico (Magic Town) so you can see its colonial church, the neoclassical Municipal Palace, the local market and some other places of interest. During your visit, you'll also stroll along the river.

Day 5: El Fuerte - Los Mochis

On the last day of our adventure, we'll take you to Los Mochis Airport 2 hours before your departure time and say our goodbyes. Bon voyage!

Accommodation Info

This tour includes 4 nights' accommodation at the following hotels:

• Creel (1st night): The Lodge at Creel Hotel & Spa (3 stars) or similar.
• Divisadero (2nd and 3rd night): Hotel Divisadero Barrancas (4 stars) or similar. 
• El Fuerte (4th night): Hotel La Choza (3 stars) or similar. 

Additional Info

If 2 adults and 1 child are staying in the same room, you cannot book 2 adults in a triple room plus 1 child, you'll need to book 2 adults in a double room plus 1 child.

Similarly, if 1 adult and 1 child are staying in the same room, you cannot book 1 adult in a double room plus 1 child, you'll need to book 1 adult in a single room plus 1 child.

Please note that you can only make 1 reservation per room type. For example, you can't book a single room and a double room at the same time.

Cancellation Policy  

Please note that train tickets for this activity are non-refundable and cannot be changed. However, you can cancel the rest of the activity for free up to 48 hours before the tour begins.
