Brüning Museum & Huaca Chotuna Private Tour
At your chosen time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Chiclayo and set off for Lambayeque, where we'll visit the Brüning National Archaeological Museum.
Inside, you'll be able to admire over 1,400 historical pieces from different cultures such as the Moche, Vicus or Chavin. Some of the objects housed here are over 1,000 years old! In the gardens, we'll see the figure of Naylamp, a Peruvian mythological character. We'll also learn about Enrique Brüning's 48 years of research.
Afterwards, we'll make our way to the Huaca Chotuna-Chornancap Archaeological Complex, which dates back to a period between the 700s and 1300s. We'll visit a place that's believed to once have been the ceremonial centre of the Lambayeque civilization. In addition, we'll see stepped pyramids, palaces and walled enclosures, as well as the truncated pyramid of Chornancap.
Next, we'll go to a viewpoint from which we'll have a glimpse of the 26 pyramids of Túcume. We'll then go into the local museum to learn all about these remains from the indigenous groups who lived in this area until the Spanish conquest.
Following a 4-hour trip, we'll take you back to your hotel in Chiclayo.
