Explore Chicago's most iconic landmarks on a free walking tour, including a stunning park on Lake Michigan. Uncover fascinating facts and hidden gems in the heart of the Windy City!
Tour Highlights
At the scheduled time, we’ll meet at Daley Plaza, next to the statue of Picasso to begin our free tour of Chicago. Ready to walk past the must-see spots in this vibrant city? Let’s get started!
While we're at our meeting point, do you know who created the famous sculpture in the square? It’s the perfect opportunity to dive into Chicago’s urban art scene.
From there, we'll stroll through the streets of the Theater District, one of the city’s liveliest areas. We’ll talk about Chicago’s significance in architectural history, including the first building ever considered a skyscraper and the iconic Willis Tower, which held the title of the world’s tallest building for several decades.
Next, we’ll continue our walking tour at the Art Institute of Chicago, founded as both a school and a museum in 1879, and now regarded as one of the world’s best art museums.
Our tour continues to Millennium Park, where we’ll visit some of its most famous spots, like the Lurie Garden, a tribute to Chicago’s motto: “city in a garden.” Here, we’ll learn about the park's creation on the shores of Lake Michigan and how it helped transform Chicago from an industrial landscape into a cosmopolitan city.
After 2.5 hours, we’ll wrap up the tour in front of the Wrigley Building, crossing the Chicago River—one of the city’s most iconic views.
