Elephant Conservation Center Day Trip
Description
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Chiang Mai between 7 and 8 am and take you somewhere you can get some breakfast. Then, after a 1.5-hour drive, we'll arrive at the Elephant Conservation Center.
As soon as we arrive, the managers of the center will tell us all about the conservation project they're carrying out to improve the quality of life of these friendly animals. Then, you'll get to feed the elephants some cucumbers, but don't worry, they are used to humans!
After feeding the elephants, we'll walk 1.5 miles (2.5 km) alongside the elephants to a river, where we'll also see how the elephants bathe. Next to the river, a vehicle will be waiting to take us to a waterfall, where we'll also be able to take a dip in its refreshing waters.
Then, after our swim, we'll head to a nearby local restaurant, where we'll refuel with a delicious lunch. The menu usually includes a meat dish, papaya salad, fried rice, and vegetables. There are also vegan or vegetarian dishes available on request.
At the end of the trip, we'll return to your hotel in Chiang Mai, arriving between 4 and 5 pm.
Hotel pickup
Pickup is included for hotels within a 1.2-mile radius (2-km) of the city of Chiang Mai. If you're staying somewhere else, you'll need to go to one of the hotels included in the pickup service. We'll let you know which hotel this is after we've received your booking.
