Enjoy authentic Thai food with this tour, where you'll learn to make traditional recipes, and visit a local market!

Description

Having picked you up at your hotel at the indicated time, we'll begin our tour with a visit to a traditional Chiang Mai market. We'll tour its different stalls and buy the fresh produce that will later become our tasty Thai dishes.

From here, we'll head to Grandma's Cooking School, where we'll be welcomed with a cocktail and an aperitif. Then, our Thai cooking class will get underway.

With the class over, we'll try all the different dishes that we've made, confirming that, of course, they're totally delicious! And so you don't forget all you've learned, you'll get a Thai cookbook so you can continue to practice at home.

Having eaten, we'll take you back to your hotel in Chiang Mai.

Tour Options

At the time of booking, you can choose between four different tours:

Morning Thai Cooking Class (4.5 hours)

In this four and a half hour class, you will prepare a four-course menu consisting of:

  • Soups: hot prawn soup and amarca (Tom Yun Kung) and coconut milk soup with chicken (Tom Kaa Kai)
  • Curries: Green curry (Gaeng Kheao Waan), Pa-nang curry (Geang Pa Nang) and red curry (Kaeng Ped)
  • Noodle noodles: Pad Thai
  • Dessert: Mango Sticky Rice

Full Day Thai Cooking Class (7.15 hours)

In this full day option, we'll follow the same itinerary as previously indicated, and add a visit to the cooking school's organic farm. Here, we'll learn about the properties of Thai herbs and plants, and collect chicken eggs and other fresh ingredients!

Then, we'll attend a full cooking class, where we'll learn how to prepare local delicacies such as:

  • Spring rolls
  • Curries: choose between green curry (Gaeng Kheao Waan), red curry (Kaeng Ped), Pa Naeng or Khao Soi
  • Noodles: choose between Pad Thai or Pad Kra Prao
  • Papaya salad
  • Dessert: Mango Sticky Rice
  • Beverage: Thai Tea

  • Baked egg on banana leaves
  • Spicy Thai style pork with tomato
