At 9 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Chetumal and set off for Mahahual, a coastal town well-known for its lush seaside flora.
As soon as we arrive, we'll take you to an exclusive beach club where you can bask in the Mexican Caribbean in all its glory. While swimming in the crystal clear water, you may come across sea turtles and colourful schools of tropical fish, as well as fascinating coral reefs. This is because part of the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef System, the second-largest barrier reef in the world, lies just off the coast of Mahahual.
During your time relaxing on the beach, you can also try some of the area's traditional gastronomy. Afterwards, we'll head to a Mayan village where the locals specialise in the production of organic honey. In the village, we'll learn about the health benefits of the honey as well as the different processes it undergoes before being bottled.
We'll then take you back to your hotel in Chetumal, where we should arrive at 7 pm.
Departure from Bacalar
If you choose the departure from Bacalar, we'll pick you up at your hotel at 9:40 am, and the return time to your hotel will be at 6:20 pm.
