Don't miss out on the chance to conquer the highest peak in Chapada dos Guimarães National Park with this hiking adventure to São Jerônimo Hill. Are you ready for a scenic trek?

Tour Highlights

At the designated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel and make our way to the heart of the Chapada dos Guimarães National Park. There, we'll embark on a hike up its highest peak. Let's get started!

Our trek will begin on a moderately challenging 16-kilometer (10-mile) trail, winding through ancient pathways surrounded by nature-sculpted rock formations that resemble true works of art.

As we progress, the distant silhouette of Morro de São Jerônimo will come into view. The original name of this peak in the Chapada dos Guimarães National Park is Bokodoriri. This indigenous term translates to "giant armadillo". Keep an eye out! It's said that the peak exhibits a distinct armadillo shape when viewed from below.

Continuing the hike, we'll ascend to the summit of Chapada dos Guimarães, situated at an elevation of 850 meters (2,788 feet) above sea level. The reward for your efforts will be the breathtaking panoramic views! In the vicinity, small hematite rocks, rich in iron, can be found. Some even bear impressions of seashells—want to know why? We've got the story!

After soaking in the scenic beauty, we'll commence our return journey to your hotel. After approximately eight hours in total, we'll drop you off.
