On this Parco delle Madonie towns tour, we'll visit some of the most beautiful towns in Sicilia and enjoy a ricotta tasting on a farm.
Description
We'll pick you up at the agreed meeting point in Cefalu at the time indicated to start this route around Parco delle Madonie, one of the largest natural areas in Sicily, to visit its main towns.
The first stop will be in Castelbuono, in the heart of the Madonia mountain range. Once here, we'll explore its cobbled streets and see the Ventimiglia Castle, an old fortress from the 16th century.
Then, we'll head to Petralia Soprana, which is considered to be one of the most beautiful towns in Italy. We'll walk around its numerous churches, squares and palaces, and then we'll go to Geraci Siculo. We'll be able to see the remains of the Geraci Castle, located at the top of a hill with a strategic position.
In this town, we'll also visit a farmer's house, where we'll be shown how to make ricotta, a type of fresh and lumpy cheese very famous in Sicily. Additionally, we'll taste some ricotta. How delicious! Then, we'll go to a local farm in Polizzi Generosa, a town located on the southern border of the Parco delle Madonie, where we'll have lunch.
After the meal, we'll return to Cefalu and drop you off at the meeting point 9 hours after the initial pickup.
