Description
We'll pick you up at the meeting point in Cefalu at the time indicated and head to Etna, the most famous volcano in Sicily and one of the most active in the World. During the ascent by bus, you'll enjoy some splendid views of the surrounding countryside.
We'll follow a route around the volcano's cone to admire its craters and vents, from where you can see grey-coloured vapour escape. Did you know that, according to Greek mythology, the Forge of Hephaestus is located here?
After the tour of Etna, we'll give you some free time so that, if you want, you can go on the cable car and then in a 4x4 to reach 3000 metres (9842 feet). It'll be incredible!
After marvelling at the land around Etna, we'll travel to Taormina, a charming city, famous for its Greco-Roman theatre. We'll take a guided tour around the centre of Taormina and admire the beauty of this Mediterranean town, and then you'll have more free time.
You'll have the chance to visit the Taormina Theatre or enjoy some free time to try some Sicilian dishes. You can also go shopping.
Finally, we'll return to Cefalu and drop you off at your hotel 13 hours after initial pickup.
