Sierras de Cazorla, Segura & Las Villas Natural Park Tour
When it comes to booking, you can choose between different routes. They all either start at your hotel, or Plaza de la Constitución in Cazorla and end at the same point.
Poyos de la Mesa & Nava de San Pedro
If you choose this option, we'll travel 90 kilometers through the Sierras de Cazorla, Segura y Las Villas Natural Park making several stops to visit its most famous viewpoints. We'll discover the high mountain pastures of Nava del Espino, at an altitude of 1,430 meters, and then continue the route towards the Poyos de la Mesa. This natural viewpoint, located on a cliff, will allow us to enjoy incredible panoramic views of the Guadalquivir Valley.
Throughout the excursion, we'll also check out the local flora and fauna. Pines, hawthorns and junipers will be present along the route, as well as mouflon sheep and mountain goats. While visiting the meadow of Nava de San Pedro, we'll even talk about one of the most mythical scenes recorded here by naturalist Felix Rodriguez de la Fuente.
Río Borosa Valley & Cerrada de Elías Gorge
On this route, we'll follow the course of the Borosa River to admire the incredible streams and waterfalls of the Sierras de Cazorla, Segura y Las Villas Natural Park. As in the previous option, we'll combine trips via the off-road car or minibus with short walks to admire this magical place.
Over the course of 100 kilometers, we'll check out the Charco de la Cuna, the Arroyo de las Truchas stream, Caracolillos bridge... You won't be able to stop taking pictures! If you want, we can also go on a short hiking route of 1.2 kilometers to explore the Cerrada de Elías. You'll be amazed by the high rocky walls of this deep gorge. After checking out the Salto de los Órganos hydroelectric power plant, we'll visit the Tranco reservoir and other areas of interest for wildlife in the park, following in the footsteps of Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente.
Los Lagos
On this route, we'll take a jeep to Los Lagos, two incredible natural treasures nestled in the mountain. These treasures are the Valdeazores Lagoon and the Aguas Negras reservoir. As well as admiring their emerald-green landscapes, we'll discover the flora and fauna that inhabits this area and admire the spectacular views of the high mountain valleys.
In addition, you'll have the choice of taking a 45-minute walk along the source of the Borosa River or visiting the Salto de los Órganos Waterfall.
Guadalentín River Canyon
We'll travel through Los Collados, Navas del Espino and San Pedro on our jeep and see where Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente filmed "El Macho Montés". As we drive, we'll admire the fascinating views of the area around the Sierra Nevada.
Next, we'll travel in front of the Estrecho de los Perales and Valdetrillos, where we'll learn all about the forests of Salgareño pines, holm oaks and maples. Finally, we'll come to the depths of the Guadalentín River Canyon.
