On this excursion to Veranópolis from Caxias do Sul we'll visit the Brazilian capital of longevity. We'll also enjoy the attractions of Vila Flores, a very complete tour!

Day Trip to Veranópolis & Vila Flores

We'll pick you up at your hotel in Caxias do Sul at 8:30 am and head northwest to the Brazilian capital of longevity.

Before reaching this town, we'll stop in Vila Flores and enter the Atelier L'arte Ceccato, a ceramics workshop where we'll do some Walking Therapy. During this activity, the family that owns the workshop will show us their gardens and the open-air eco-museum, a place full of history.

After this visit, we'll go to Vila do Pão, an artisan market that sells bread, cookies, and jams. Yum! We'll then go to the Cave dos Frades winery, where we'll take a guided tour through its various rooms and learn about the winemaking process and the particularities of wine in this region.

Before leaving Vila Flores, you'll have an hour of free time to grab some lunch in a local restaurant. After eating, we'll head to Veranópolis. Did you know that its population has the third longest average lifespan in the world?

We'll visit the monument that commemorates the great Italian immigration to Veranópolis throughout history, as well as the Matrix church and the Fountain of Longevity, right in the center of the city. To complete the tour, we'll visit the Bella Città Emporium and the Saretta House, a building declared a World Heritage Site.

In the final stretch of the tour, we'll visit the Simonetto Winery, where we'll put the finishing touch to the tour by tasting their delicious products. Finally, we'll go to Espigão Belvedere, an ideal viewpoint to admire the lush nature surrounding Veranópolis.

We'll end the excursion by returning to your hotel at 5:30 pm.
