Day Trip to Nova Petrópolis, Gramado, and Canela
We'll pick you up at 8:30 am at your hotel in Caxias do Sul and head south towards three of the most beautiful cities in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul.
The first stop will be in Nova Petrópolis, a picturesque town where we'll learn about the legacy of German immigration in Brazil. We'll take a sightseeing tour of the city to see its main points of interest, such as the beautiful Praça das Flores.
We'll continue the excursion enjoying the stunning natural surroundings in Gramado. There we'll contemplate the emblematic Black Lake and we'll head over to the Vale do Quilombo viewpoint, where we'll get unbeatable views of the surroundings. After enjoying the panoramic views we'll continue the route to Canela, where we'll visit the cathedral and walk through the main shopping streets of the city center.
The route will continue on the outskirts of Canela, where we'll see the Caracol waterfall, an impressive 131-meter (430-foot) waterfall that won't leave you indifferent. From here, our last destination will be a chocolate factory to see how local cocoa products are made.
After this final visit, you'll have surely built up an appetite, so we'll return to the center of Canela, where you'll have an hour of free time for lunch. After lunch, we'll finally return to your hotel in Caxias do Sul, where we'll arrive at 7 pm.
