Ossena Waterfall Hike
Meet us at Casa Emanuel to kick-start our hiking route through the Ossena Waterfall. Challenge yourself to a new adventure and try aqua trekking!
We'll begin by touring the surroundings of the waterfalls, just a short 4 kilometers (2.4 miles) from Militello in Val di Catania, where we'll start walking along the channel. During the aqua trekking, we'll cross the river and walk about 50 meters (164 feet) to reach the Ossena Waterfalls.
Our hiking route, lasting between 3 and 4 hours, will offer plenty of opportunity to admire the natural beauty of the Ossena River. As we trek along, we can admire the contrasting colors on display as the crystalline blue waters stand in vivid contrast against the black volcanic rock, a distinctive characteristic of Sicily.
As we arrive at the Ossena Waterfall, we'll pause in this serene setting to enjoy a picnic and refuel for the return journey. Feel free to take a refreshing dip in the tranquil waters at the bottom of the falls as we enjoy our meal. Don't forget to capture the mesmerizing natural beauty with some pictures!
Then, we'll begin our return as we make our way back to the starting point 4 to 5 hours later.
