Mount Etna & Alcantara Gorge 4x4 Tour
At 8:30 am on the morning of the activity, we'll meet at Piazza dei Martiri and hop in a 4x4 vehicle that will take us to explore two of the most beautiful natural sites in Sicily. Leaving Catania behind, we'll make our way to Mount Etna, arriving in less than an hour.
During the first part of the excursion, we'll visit one of the most famous volcanoes in Italy. You'll walk along different trails, see inactive craters and discover how the flora and fauna have adapted to these volcanic lands. Your guide will explain how the slopes of Etna are an ideal place for wine cultivation and tell you other interesting bits of information about this natural park.
Then, we'll stop at a restaurant to enjoy an snack consisting of different types of liquors, wines, honeys and other regional products. Bon appetit!
Next, we'll head to Alcantara Gorge Natural Park. As we approach the river to admire the huge rocky walls that rise from its banks, we'll tell you how this volcanic landscape was formed millions of years ago. An incredible natural landscape you don't want to miss!
The excursion will finish at 4:30 pm with our return to the starting point in Catania.
