Tepuhueico Park Coastal Hike
Hike Details
At the scheduled time, we'll collect you from your hotel. You can meet us directly at the lodge in Tepuhueico Park to begin this hiking activity around Chiloé's Pacific coastline. Ready?
After getting ready, we'll get on our way to begin exploring the coastal area of Tepuhueico Park. Firstly, we'll walk towards Quilán Beach, where we'll admire the sand dunes and the beauty of this natural space. In addition, we'll see the Muelle del Tiempo, located at the Punta Pilol. You won't be able to resist taking tonnes of photos here!
Did you know that, beyond being the biggest beach on the Isla Grande de Chiloé, it's famous for the presence of gold diggers and the discovery of fossils? We'll tell you all about this and much more!
We'll continue our tour on foot along the Tepuhueico Coast by heading towards a viewpoint from which we'll be able to see birds such as the Lile duck, a native duck species to Chile and Peru.
After passing by some cliffs with stunning views, we'll continue our hike towards a spot whose name comes from the colours of the forest, the sand and the sea: the Tricolour Beach. There, we'll discover the fishing and seaweed-collecting traditions of this area.
After a total of between 5 and 6 hours together, we'll return to the starting point.
