Spend a day at Tepuhueico Park and traverse over 20,000 hectares of forests with centennial trees and hidden waterfalls for a magical day spent in Chilean nature!
Tepuhueico Day Trip
We'll meet at Plaza de Armas in Castro or pick you up from your hotel to kick start our day trip to Tepuhueico Park. Are you ready to see the magical forest of Chiloé's Isla Grande?
Our first stop is at Tepuhueico Park's entrance, where the groundkeeping team awaits us. On top of giving us a warm welcome to the park, they'll also provide us with detailed information about the many trails within the park complex. With over 20,000 hectares (49,421 feet), there's a trail for everybody!
Now, lace up your hiking boots because we're setting off into the wild from here! We'll traverse several different trails together, one of the highlights being the waterfall hiking trail. As we stroll along, we'll find ourselves surrounded by verdant foliage, home to many bird species and impressive landscape views.
As we come to the end of the trail, we'll set our sights on the Tepuhueico Lodge. With our bellies rumbling, we'll pause here for lunch. We'll take a seat and enjoy the menu featuring traditional dishes that include soup or salad as a starter, a meat or fish plate as an entree, and of course dessert.
Then, with newfound energy, we'll take off on foot again to explore the lodge's gardens and stroll along the banks of Lake Tepuhueico. Here, we'll admire the many different species of flora and fauna that make this site their home.
Finally, after 4-5 hours of natural adventure, we'll return to the meeting point.
