8-Day Package Tour of Morocco

  • 2 reviews | 29 travellers
The tour was interesting, the only thing was that the distances between one city and another were very long. This makes the trip very tiring. The designated driver who had us throughout the entire tour was excellent. His name is Omar, a very kind, respectful and attentive man. The guides in the cities are also very good. The desert experience is unbeatable.

Description

Day 1: Casablanca

When you land, we'll be waiting for you at the Casablanca airport and take you to the hotel where we'll stay the first night of this 8-day tour of Morocco. Once there, you'll be able to settle in and, if you arrive in the morning, take advantage of this first afternoon to start touring the city.

Day 2: Casablanca - Rabat - Volubilis - Fez

After a hearty breakfast, we'll pay a visit to the most famous monument in Casablanca: the Hassan II Mosque. Did you know that it's the largest mosque in the country? Its breathtaking dimensions will astound you!

Then we'll travel to Rabat, the imperial city and capital of Morocco. There we'll visit the citadel of Mechouar, the Kasbah of the Oudayas, and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V and Hassan II.

In the afternoon, we'll leave for Meknes, where we'll visit the Medina and its bastions, the Jewish quarter, and the ruins of Volubilis, the best-preserved Roman city in North Africa.

Finally, we'll head towards Fez and drop you off at the hotel or riad, where we'll stay. See you tomorrow!

Day 3: Fez

We'll spend the third day of our trip touring Fez, the oldest of Morocco's imperial cities, which was founded in the 8th century by Moulay Idriss II. We'll visit the Medina, Medersas Attarine, the Ennajarine fountain, the Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss, the Karawiyin Mosque, and the new Medina in Fez Jdid.

In the afternoon, we'll drop you off to relax at the hotel until the next day.

Day 4: Fez - Midelt - Merzouga

We leave Fez behind and cross the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing through endless cedar forests. Did you know that the wood of these beautiful trees was used in ancient times to build boats?

We'll reach Ifran, a Moroccan village with Swiss influence, and then pass through the Amazigh village of Azrou. Then we'll cross the Ziz Valley and its gorges until we reach Erfoud.

From there, we'll take a road until we reach the desert of Merzouga, where we'll embark on a camel ride through the dunes. You'll be amazed watching the sunset over the rolling desert!

At night we'll sleep in a haima camp.

Day 5: Merzouga - Todra Gorges - Ouarzazate

On this fifth day of the tour, we'll wake up very early to have breakfast and watch the sunrise over the dunes of the desert of Merzouga. Then we'll leave Merzouga behind and head towards the Todra Gorges crossing several ancient Amazigh villages

In the afternoon, we'll continue the route to Ouarzazate, where we'll spend the night, after having passed through the valley of the Dades and the Roses

Day 6: Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou - Marrakech

On the sixth day, we'll leave Ouarzazate and head to the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a beautiful Amazigh architectural structure built over 800 years ago.

While visiting the village, we'll contemplate the ancient caravan routes leading to Marrakech and the distant High Atlas Mountains. Get your cameras ready!

We'll continue our journey to Marrakech passing through different villages such as Amerzgan, Agouim, and Ighrem, and arrive at the Tizi N'Tichka pass

Finally, we'll drop you off at the hotel in Marrakech, where we'll rest until the next day.

Day 7: Marrakech

After breakfast, we'll explore the city of Marrakech, known as the pearl of southern Morocco. On this tour, we'll visit the Bahia and El Badi palaces, the Saadid tombs. Then, we'll continue the tour at the Koutoubia Mosque and the famous Jemaa el-Fnaa square, one of the main attractions of Marrakech, where you'll be immersed in the vibrant hustle and bustle of the city.

After lunch, you'll have the rest of the day to explore the city at your own pace.

Then, we'll end the day back at the riad.

Day 8: Transfer to Marrakech airport

On the last day, we'll take you to Marrakech airport and say goodbye after our 8-day tour around Morocco. See you next time!
