Cartagena Punic Wall Interpretation Centre Ticket
Description
Visit the Punic Wall Interpretation Centre and learn all about one of the most significant chapters of Mediterranean history. You'll discover all the hidden details of the Punic Wars between the Romans and the Carthaginians.
You'll learn lots of interesting facts about the legendary past of Qart Hadast ('New City'), founded by General Asdrubal in 229 BC. One of the few remains of this ancient civilisation still standing today is the Punic wall.
Feel free to stroll along the glass walkways of this archaeological site and take in the legacy of this fascinating culture at your leisure. In addition, next to the wall you can see the burial crypt of the hermitage of San José, built in the 16th and 17th centuries. On the walls, you'll also see a very strange series of paintings: the Dances of Death.
