Would you like to travel back in time to domestic life in 1st century Roman Cartagena? With our House of Fortune Ticket, you can! You'll roam the different rooms of a house from this historical period and learn lots of interesting facts.
Some of the rooms you'll see are the dining room where feasts and banquets were held, the bedrooms and private part of the house and the reception hall where the pater familias (the head of the family) welcomed his guests.
You'll observe artefacts such as lanterns, crockery and personal ornaments, which will help you to better understand Roman fashions and customs. As you stroll through the rooms of the house, you'll marvel at the beauty of the wall paintings and mosaics with swans, swastikas, flowers and pomegranates, which held mythological symbolism during this period.

- 1st July to 15th September: Tuesday to Sunday from 10 am to 3 pm.
- 15th March to 30th June / 16th September to 1st November: Tuesday to Sunday from 10 am to 3 pm.
- 2nd November to 7th January: Tuesday to Sunday from 10 am to 3 pm.
- 8th January to 14th March: Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am to 3 pm.
- 5th January and 24th and 31st December: open only from 10 am to 2 pm.
Please note that the last access is an hour before closing time.
Reduced fare
The reduced fare is available to children under 12 years old, students up to 25 years old, Youth Card holders, the unemployed, pensioners and retired persons, the disabled, large families and groups of 20 people or more.
