San Juan Nepomuceno & Reserva Los Colorados Day Trip
Description
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Cartagena to begin this excursion to San Juan Nepomuceno and the Reserva Los Colorados.
After about 1.5 hours, we'll stop in San Cayetano for a traditional Colombian breakfast, after which we'll make our way to our first destination of the day: Reserva Los Colorados.
For around 2.5 hours, we'll walk through this wonderland of flora and fauna. Trees in this tropical forest can reach heights of 30 metres (nearly 100 feet). What's more, nearly 280 different species of birds live in this incredible reserve, whose name is derived from the Red Howler Monkey (mono colorado).
We'll then replenish our strength with a wholesome and delicious lunch, before heading towards San Juan Nepomuceno. This picturesque municipality is located in Montes de María, a sub-region of the departments of Bolívar and Sucre that is characterised by its agricultural tradition.
We'll then say our goodbyes at the starting point 11 hours after meeting.
Pickup
This tour only includes hotel pickup in the following areas of Cartagena de Indias: Centro, Bocagrande, Laguito and Getsemaní. If you're staying in another part of the city, we'll meet at the Torre del Reloj Monument.
