Getsemaní & San Felipe de Barajas Castle Free Tour
Tour Details
At the scheduled time, we’ll meet at Plaza de la Trinidad to begin our free tour of two of Cartagena’s most iconic spots. Ready to dive into the city’s history? Let’s go!
Our journey starts in the vibrant streets of the Getsemaní neighborhood, where you’ll soak in the local atmosphere and admire the colorful street art. This lively area is a favorite in the city, filled with bars, restaurants, and artisan shops.
We’ll stroll down Ancho Alley, famous for its striking graffiti, and Lomba Street, home to a beautiful mural honoring Colombian writer and Nobel Prize winner Gabriel García Márquez.
Next, we’ll make our way to the impressive Castillo de San Felipe de Barajas. Inside, we’ll explore this historic fortress, stepping back to colonial times as we navigate its tunnels, walls, and bastions. Along the way, we’ll share stories of the battles and figures that shaped Cartagena’s history. To top it off, we’ll visit a chocolate museum, where you’ll enjoy a tasting and learn about the creation of this sweet treat.
After three hours of exploration, we’ll wrap up the tour and bid you farewell.
