Food Tour Details
After meeting at the designated time in front of the Torre del Reloj in the historical center, we'll begin our food tour by heading to the Getsemaní neighborhood. Here, as we discuss Cartagena's traditional cuisine, we'll walk through the streets decorated with urban art.
During the journey, we'll taste some of the local dishes, such as the popular arepas, fresh fruit juices, patacones con queso, and bolis, a traditional fruit popsicle. You'll love it!
Next, we'll head to Amo el Café, where we'll learn how to prepare coffee using the locals' technique. We'll learn secrets about the ideal water temperature, as well as the correct way to add the ground coffee and pour it into a cup. Plus, we'll share the different types of plantation and harvesting methods as we approach the moment we've all been waiting for–it's time to taste authentic Colombian coffee!
After 2 hours, this flavorful journey will end at the café.
