Day Trip Options 

During the booking process, you can choose between the following day trip options to Turbaco:

Day Trip to Turbaco + Mud Pools

We'll meet next to Cartagena's Clock Tower at the designated. Here, we'll hop onboard a minibus that will take us to Turbaco which is about an hour's drive away.

Once we arrive, we'll go on a tour of Turbaco's historical centre, the perfect way to get to know the local culture. We'll then visit the Yurbaco Museum to learn about the people who founded this town in the 16th century. What a fascinating period of history!

Afterwards, we'll head over to some mud pools, where you'll have 2 hours to enjoy a bath. Did you know that they're famous for their restorative properties? To top off the experience, we'll have a delicious lunch in a local restaurant. 

8 hours later, we'll be back in Cartagena. 

Day Trip to Turbaco + Botanical Garden 

At the designated time, we'll meet next to the Clock Tower in Cartagena. Time to set off to Turbaco!

Once we've arrived, we'll go on a 2-hour tour of this town. We'll explore its main streets, churches, and the Yurbaco Museum, which preserves much of the region's cultural richness.

We'll then visit the Guillermo Piñeres Botanical Garden, located on the outskirts of Turbaco. We'll meander through this lush natural reserve and get to know the diverse plant life native to the Colombian Caribbean, home to over 300 species of plants.

At the botanical garden, we'll spend approximately 2 hours immersed in the serene natural surroundings. We'll also see a majestic natural forest, pathways, natural fountains, birds, squirrels, iguanas, colourful monkeys, and other animals that will help us connect even further with nature.

The last stop of the day will be at a local restaurant. Here, we'll enjoy a delicious typical lunch with a drink, the perfect finishing touch!

Day Trip to Turbaco + Paintball

If you're looking for an adventurous plan, this is the option for you! After meeting at the Clock Tower, we'll leave Cartagena behind to begin this day trip to Turbaco.

As soon as we arrive, we'll go on a visit to Turbaco's historical centre before heading over to the museum. The perfect way to learn about this region's cultural inheritance!

Next, we'll make our way over to a paintball field, to enjoy an exciting 2-hour game. Ready to put your skills and strategies to the test? After this adrenaline rush, we'll re-energise with a lunch made up of the best regional flavours.

Lastly, we'll head back to Cartagena and say our goodbyes after a total of 8 hours.

Day Trip to Turbaco + Bollo de Mazorca Workshop

After meeting up by the Cartagena Clock Tower, we'll begin our trip to Turbaco. 

Firstly, we'll explore the historical centre for about 1 hour. We'll also visit the Museum of Turbaco, where we'll learn all about the local culture. 

We'll then travel to the estate La Maquinaria, where we'll take part in a workshop to make a traditional bollo de mazorca (cornbread bun). This is made using fresh maize, flour, cheese, and butter before being wrapped in mazorca leaves. You'll love it!

To end the day trip on a high note, we'll enjoy a typical lunch on the estate. After a total of 8 hours, we'll drop you off at our initial meeting point.
