We'll start this exquisite tour after meeting at the entrance of the Zubizarreta Winery. Here, we'll start with a short introduction to this unforgettable experience that will combine history, tradition, and the unique flavors of some of the best wines in Carmelo.
From the first moment you enter the facilities of Zubizarreta, we'll tell you about this winery's history, as it's one of the region's most representative and oldest wineries. The passion of generations can be felt in every corner—from the extensive vineyards and the presses for the harvest all the way to the fermentation and bottling tanks.
We'll embark on a guided tour, where you'll discover the art behind the vineyard management. You'll learn about the grape varieties that bring the Zubizarreta wines to life. We'll explore the different spaces that hold a rich wine history until we reach the tasting room, the best part of this experience. You'll try an exquisite selection of wines, each one paired with regional products that will perfectly enhance their flavors. Cheers!
After a tour of 45 minutes to 1 hour, we'll conclude this activity and you'll be free to enjoy the Zubizarreta Winery's facilities for as long as you like.
Tour Options
During the booking process, you can choose between the following options:
- Tour + Tasting of 3 wines: in this option, you'll taste a 2023 Albariño Alta Gama, a 2022 Arinarnoa Colección Familiar wine, and a 2021 Alta Gama Tannat-Marselan Blend wine, accompanied by a cheese board and snacks.
- Tour + Tasting of 5 wines: if you choose this option, you'll taste three premium wines and two selected by the sommelier, depending on your preference. As a pairing, you'll enjoy a charcuterie board of cheese and cured hams.
- Tour + Tasting & Lunch: this option includes a 3-course lunch and three premium wines.
Lunch Menu
- Starter: to choose between skewers or fried empanadas, served with a 2023 Albariño Alta Gama wine.
- Main dish: to choose between tomato, basil, and mozzarella ravioli; cheese and tenderloin ravioli; ham, mozzarella, and parmesan sorrentinos; or four-cheese and leek sorrentinos. This can be paired with filetto, pink, or four-cheese sauce. Additionally, the accompanying wine will be a 2022 Arinarnoa Colección Familiar.
- Dessert: to choose between red wine pear or chocolate and red wine cake, served with a 2021 Alta Gama Tannat-Marselan Blend.
