Join us on a walking tour of Caracas, where we'll unveil the rich history and architectural beauty of the capital city's buildings and main monuments!
Caracas Walking Tour
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Caracas and head to Plaza Bolivar, situated in the heart of the city's historic downtown area. From there, we'll kick off our walking tour, leading us to the Museum of Caracas. Let's dive into the Venezuelan capital city's history!
The museum building, founded in 1673 and designated as a National Historic Monument, once served as the former cemetery of the Metropolitan Cathedral. Now, it serves as an excellent example of the city's storied past.
Next up: the Museo Bolivariano, located on the corner of Pajaritos. Here, we'll take a deep dive into Venezuelan history as we explore its exhibits. Afterward, we'll stroll to Plaza San Jacinto, affectionately called Plaza El Venezolano. Here, we'll visit the birthplace of the "Libertador" meaning the Liberator, to gain a comprehensive understanding of the life and legacy of Simón Bolívar.
Following our visit to the Venezuelan military figure's home, we'll make our way to the Casa del Vínculo y del Retorno. This historic mansion holds significant ties to the struggles for independence, first against the Spanish Crown and later against Gran Colombia.
Finally, after a 3-hour tour of the historic center of Caracas, we'll end the activity and return to your hotel.
